Not your typical office

This historical building was once the Bricca horse stable situated along Battery Street by the Embarcadero. Since then the place is has undergone many alterations through different ownership’s. The last occupant was an architectural studio that had no character, the atmosphere was either too glary from open flood lights hanging from the rafters to dim and depressing in the center of the space. Scenic Advisement which works for the private technology sector hired Feldman Architecture, Moroso Construction and Techlinea Inc. to revitalize this historic space.

Our goal was to make the lounge area inviting and visually interesting, to light the open plan work spaces and make them feel bright and exciting while accentuating the art and architecture. We used direct and indirect light sources to highlight the architectural features while uniformly washing the work surfaces with bright glare free illumination, and added accent lights and decorative fixtures to create depth and dimension to the reception area lounges and conference rooms. It turned out to be a beautiful project.
